GIA Match iD™ – Diamond Girdle Viewer

GIA Match iD™ is a tool for viewing inscriptions when paired with the iOS version of the GIA app, it can connect to GIA’s secure database to match a loose diamond with a GIA digital grading report using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

Equipped with a high-resolution camera, it allows users to view the laser-engraved text next to the GIA code on the diamond and transmit the image to the GIA App where it is captured and analyzed. By analyzing the physical characteristics of the engraved text on the diamond along with the line number, the GIA App, supported by AI, can match the image of the engraved text with the corresponding classification report in the GIA database.

GIA Match iD™ can read the inscriptions on loose diamonds ranging from 0.15 to 12 carats. Inscription matching is available for all loose diamonds with GIA Diamond Dossier® and most diamonds with GIA grading reports issued on or after February 22, 2022.
